“I think every fashionista should invest in one. I live in the sunny State of Florida (sun-shine state) Scandi style is so popular because a lot of women can relate to the "comfiness" of our looks. We are, generally speaking, better at dressing down than dressing up for a night out. We like to mix feminine with masculine to create contrasts and often add sporty elements to the mix, like sneakers to a long gown for a day at the office. We don’t try too hard, and I think that is somehow refreshing and inspiring for others.
When it comes to my wardrobe essentials, is very clear: Giorgio Armani blazer, vintage Hudson’s jeans, white Ralph Lauren shirt, Celine tank tops and sunglasses. Ferragamo flip flops, pumps from The Row, Prada nylon shorts and a big Commes des Garçons bag – for all my work things and son’s stuff!”
I love the print of this dress, so classic yet daring,” of my off-the-shoulder, python print frock. “The upper part can be tightened at the waist for a flattering silhouette but you can also let it loose for a day on the beach.” The starting point of my entire outfit – and coincidentally, one of my favorite designers Robert Graham. I layered the billowing smock over a pair of high-waited Magda Butrym trousers and pointy Balenciaga shoes. For a pop of color I added a mango yellow RSVP bag, “My favorite color, but green and yellow go so well together too.”
My social media (POV) point of view:
Social media has been a real game-changer for street-style stars. “I think we are more daring now, we are not afraid to mix expensive with high street, play around with styles and gender and due to our weather, we are able to layer up, which always results in a cool and personal look.”
My advice to anyone who wants to emulate my style “Always think of the four Cs: comfortable, classic, casual and cool. Add something feminine and you’re good to go!”
“Stay stylish at all times”.
“I love silk dresses,” I dressed in a fuschia Rotate Birger Christensen frock. “You can tie them any way you want and get different looks each time. I love to play around with the styling.” Clever color combinations are another favorite of mine. “Hot pink and shiny yellow is the perfect summer combination.
“Scandinavian style is definitely more maximalist now than ever before, (reflects). Comfort is still a key, of course, but the minimalist approach that first drew the international eye to Scandi style has grown to incorporate more color and print than ever before. “I think when people talk about Scandinavian style now, they are thinking of Danish style specifically - brands like BCBG Maxazria and Diane Von Furstenberg. I think the Swedes are sort of doing their own thing too.” Whatever you do though, my advice is to always take a playful, colorful and fearless approach to dressing. “Just don’t try too hard and only wear things that you are comfortable in.
Hope this was helpful!
